At Byron Wood Primary Academy, we believe that strong partnerships between home and school are key to helping children succeed. When we work together, we can support your child to grow in confidence, enjoy learning, and achieve their full potential.
Regular communication is important to us. Our newsletters and letters keep you informed about school events, curriculum updates, and important notices. We also host coffee mornings, providing a relaxed space to meet staff, ask questions, and connect with other families. These are held weekly on a Thursday from 8.30am in the Main Hall.
We encourage you to support your child’s education at home by:
- Establishing a consistent routine for homework and reading
- Ensuring your child attends school every day and arrives on time
- Talking to your child about their day and what they’ve learned
- Attending parent-teacher meetings to discuss progress and next steps
If you have any concerns or questions, please don’t hesitate to speak with your child’s class teacher. We’re here to listen and work with you to find solutions.
As part of the Astrea Academy Trust, we are committed to excellence for all. Your involvement and support make a real difference in your child’s education. Together, we can create a nurturing and inspiring environment where every child can flourish.
Establishing a good partnership with parents is a priority for everyone here at Byron Wood Academy.
We firmly believe that a successful school is a result of the combined efforts of staff, pupils, parents and carers, and we encourage you to take an active role in your children’s education. We aim to be as transparent and open as possible in all we do and we welcome any questions or suggestions that you might have about your child or about the academy in general. We will work hard to ensure that we communicate regularly with parents and carers and that you are always up-to-date with our activities and our plans for the future.
Please note: Byron Wood accepts no legal responsibility for the loss of any valuable items namely phones, jewellery etc that have been bought onto school premises. We advise you to leave valuable items at home.
